Clinkies are ceramic/china art pieces. Instead of paint, the artwork
is rendered in kiln-fired under-glazes and glazes that will never fade or
scratch off. Some pieces make repeated trips into the kiln to assure
proper interaction/blending of the colors; but whether fired one time or
five, the final beauty of each piece is permanent and guaranteed to be one
of a kind.
(Though the artist feels ceramic/china pieces cry out for the fire,
commissioned items may be cold-painted if you desire.)
If a model does not have a price next to it, that means it is already gone.
However, the artist is accepting limited commissions! Prices are:

TAF WAUBONSIE
Here is the next china horse from The Kid, the beautiful and generously detailed TAF "WAUBONSIE!" Just take a look at this little itty bitty! Custom glazed to a deep, rich bay roan blanketed appaloosa, this little gal is like dynamite: tiny but mighty! She sports all the bells and whistles of appaloosa coloring: her teeny hooves are striped, and her weensy spots are haloed! Her face is shaded, her muzzle mottled; her little nose is pinked, and her nostrils are defined. Even her tiny little ears are bay rimmed with black. Best of all, this incredibly minute china has tri-colored eyes (yes I nearly went cross-eyed myself creating those, lol!) After much underglazing and glaze work, requiring several passages through the kiln, she was finished in crystal clear gloss glaze, so her lovely little coat will remain permanent in color, and not run the risk of being scratched or become faded over time. Signed and dated by the artist, little "WAUBONSIE" stands a delicate 1-1/2 inches long by almost 2 inches tall (see picture with penny for scale) so she will display just about anywhere. |

TAF SARATOGA
Here is another pretty little OOAK china horse custom glazed by the kid, the beautiful "TAF SARATOGA."
"SARATOGA" was glazed to a rich bay roan sabino. Her little muzzle is pinked and sports kissy spots, her blaze is key-holed. Her tiny eyes are not only tri-colored, but one is brown and the other is blue. Her knees are shaded, and a few corn spots show here and there in her deep, roany coat. "SARATOGA" was made with custom mixed glazes and underglazes, applied with a brush and other tools, and was passed through the fire of the kiln several times to acheive her pretty color. She was finished in shiny, diamond tough, crystal clear gloss glaze, so her coat of many colors will not scratch or fade over time. She stands approximately 3" tall and 4" long, a perfect size to display just about anywhere. |

TAF SNOQUALMIE
The newest little horse to trot happily from the TAF barns is a sweet
appaloosa foal glazed on the Doc Holliday mold. Please welcome our
latest edition, TAF SNOQUALMIE! This little baby is as cute as a bug’s
ear, with her soft speckly and multi-colored roany coat, her dark mane
and shaded tail, her darkened head and hocks, big white blanket, and
liberal coat of deep brown spots over all! (The spots on lower legs are
black.) But her appaloosa characteristics don’t end there! Her
expressive brown eyes show the sclera, her blaze is lightly “varnished,”
her hooves are striped, and she sports flashmarks. She is mottled in
her privates, and pinked where appropriate (especially on the very end
of her muzzle, which was not picked up by the camera). SNOQUALMIE
stands approximately 5” long and 6” tall, was made using quality art
glazes, and was finally kiln-fired in gloss glaze to preserve her
color. She is signed and dated by the artist. |

TAF SALOME
Here is an arsty lady who quite definitely stands out from all the rest,
the next horse in our stable: TAF SALOME. This unusual mare was glazed
to an art-deco pintabian on Doc Holliday’s arabian mold, using a variety
of quality art glazes and differing glazing techniques. The end result
is what you see: a lively and quite unique liver chestnut tobiano whose
coat sports a wealth of softly colored dapples. SALOME’s hooves are
shaded and striped; her pasterns show some ermine spotting, and she is
shaded in knees, hocks, muzzle, ears and tail. Here eyes are quite
expressive, her nostrils pinked, and her undersides lightly darkened for
depth. A white chin-spot shows sabino characteristics, and she has all
four chestnuts glazed. In spite of her detail, though, she is intended
to be a display model; hence the use of flowing art glazes in her
production, as well as the techniques utilized which gave her quite a
unique flair! Definitely a OOAK piece, she is traditionally sized at
approximately 10” x 11,” is finished in super tough gloss glaze, and is
signed and dated by the artist. |

TAF DECKER
Wouldja just look at the next one-of-a-kind horse to come trotting out
of the kiln, all decked out in his “Sunday-go-to-meetin’” finery! Here
is the tiny but detailed TAF DECKER, the next dappled gray horse in the
TAF barns. DECKER is obviously a favorite of his master, being a horse
who’s “been there, done that,” his temperament, age (and thus general
savvy) shown by the fact that his coat is nearly completely “grayed
out.” Darker haunches and shoulders still sport soft dapples, and
augment his likewise darkened muzzle, eyes, knees and hocks. His
underside is mottled and shaded in tones of pink, rose and shades of
gray; his hooves shiny and black (hoof polish, don’tcha know!). And his
harness… boy howdy, have you ever seen the like? Bedecked in bright red
and shiny black leather, sporting matching red ribbons in his snowy mane
and tail… no wonder this boy is trotting along so proud! DECKER is
perfectly sized at approximately 4.5 inches long and 4.25 inches tall.
He is finished in shiny, tough clear gloss glaze, so his colors will
never fade or alter over time, is signed and dated by the artist, and
comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity. (Please note:
DECKER’S collar has been securely glazed on, and is therefore not
removable.) |

TAF MITTEN KITTEN
Following in the footsteps of our other leopard appaloosas, here is the
eye-catching little lady, TAF MITTEN KITTEN! This pretty filly was
brought to life on Duncan’s laying foal model, and sports all the bells
n’ whistles that a leopard appaloosa should have. Her pretty brown eyes
show eyewhites, her hooves are shaded and striped, and her ears and
nostrils shaded as well. The area around her eyes is pinked, as is her
muzzle, which in turn is adorned with kissy spots in tones of pinks and
grays. Finally, her gleaming white coat is liberally peppered with rich,
black spots, interspersed here and there with just a tad lighter bit of
ghost spotting. Her mane and tail, however, were left the purest,
snowiest white! Created to be a showpiece, she is finished in tough,
shining clear glaze so her color will remain true and not fade or alter
over time. She is approximately 3 x 6 inches in size, and is signed and
dated by the artist. |

TAF DR. WHO
Seeming as if by magic the Master of Time arrives, stepping abruptly
from the Tartus which transports him throughout the mystery that is
spacetime. And on his heels, perhaps, there trots his namesake: The
Kid’s next tongue-in-cheek model, DR. WHO! Here is Scioto’s fat draft
horse custom glazed into a definitely unique decorator, produced by the
application of quality, flowing art glazes… but NOT quite according to
the manufacturer’s suggestions! (We won’t divulge our secret, either –
LOL!) But no matter what manner of glazing or what techniques were
used, just look at what came trotting out of the fires! This Bad Boy is
nearly as difficult to describe as he was to photograph, but we’ll try.
First of all, his body is in tones of golden sand, with an almost
shimmering overlay of silvery-lavender. Tiny silvery specks are
scattered evenly throughout, as if they were hairs in a horse’s coat.
His mane, tail and muzzle are the richest gold and rust and deep brown
in color, his muzzle deepening through gold to rust to black. His
hooves are shaded and striped, his blaze a soft gold to match his golden
socks. But his eyes… just look into THE DOCTOR’S mesmerizing violet
eyes, and become transported through time and space yourself! Well,
maybe not… but they sure are eye-catching peepers! DOCTOR WHO was
created, as mentioned above, with the use of quality art glazes, and
finished in tough, crystal clear gloss glaze. That and his episodes in
the kiln – a couple of times, in fact! – brings assurance that his
wondrous coat will not fade or alter over time. Standing approximately
a “fat classic” in size at 6 inches tall by nine inches long, THE DOCTOR
is signed and dated by the artist. |

TAF CHIPS AHOY!
Here is another chubby little drafter custom, this one custom glazed
into an appaloosa. Please say howdy-do to the mighty mite, CHIPS AHOY!
Why so yummy of a moniker, you might ask? Well… just LOOK at her! She
is just covered in chips… er, that is, SPOTS, with those on her pretty
white blanket being haloed. And the parts of her roany body showing
color are just the color of a chocolate chip cookie, fresh from the
oven! CHIPPY is really a test model (The Kid was playing around with
application techniques) and yay the technique worked! Her ears are
shaded, her nose is pinked, and her hooves match her mane in being a
deep near-black. She is stablemate in size, standing approximately 3.5
x 4 inches in size, and is signed and dated by the artist. Think
holidays: wouldn’t this OOAK little sweetie look cute tucked into
someone’s Christmas stocking… along with a pack of cookies! |

TAF KOSH
As with his namesake, the enigmatic Vorlon ambassador of Babylon 5 fame,
TAF KOSH is a thing of unique beauty. But not nearly as mysterious as
the encounter-suited alien! Beginning with Duncan’s pretty and
discontinued prancing Arabian mare, this model was first resculpted (by
the talented Cheryl Garcia of PHC) and then brought to life by The Kid
as a brilliant chestnut near leopard appaloosa! Where to begin? From
KOSH’s multi-hued, patchy and mottled coat, to his (yes, HIS; he is now
a stallion, complete with parts, lol) speckled and splotched privates he
is definitely a one of a kind horse. His eyes are rendered in four
colors for super realism; his muzzle, mane, tail, inner ears and
nostrils are shaded; his hooves are shaded and striped, and delicate
tonal changes bring depth to his coat. And that coat… wow! KOSH is
covered from nose to tail with myriad bright and eye-catching chestnut
spots!
KOSH was created
using custom mixed underglazes and quality art glazes, before being
finished in diamond tough, clear gloss glaze. He is presented here as a
test model only. Please contact us if you would like a horse glazed in
this pattern. |

TAF BOOMER
Hey, Pippin’s got a new sister! Please welcome the latest little
spotted beauty to grace the TAF barns, the wildly marked TAF BOOMER.
Created with quality glazes and underglazes, and using Doc Holliday’s
standing foal, BOOMER is a representation of a real Knabstrupper colt.
Her hooves, muzzle and nostrils, inner ears, mane and tail are nicely
shaded; her soft spots and underside, as well as around her eyes,
lightly pinked and mottled. Those eyes are a deep, chocolatey brown,
carefully brought to life using four different colors for realism. But
best of all is her marvelous coat, one so loud it can be heard in the
next county! Each spot and patch has been carefully applied (no mean
feat, there are A LOT of them, lol), with some of them in lighter tones
as would be the case of a real foal. Finally she was finished in
shining, diamond tough and crystal clear glaze, so that wondrous coat
won’t fade or alter over time.
BOOMER is classic
in size, standing approximately 6” x 6”. She is signed and dated by the
artist, and comes complete with a COA. Another OOAK model from Two Acre
Farms! |

TAF “AMURI”
Ok, the Kid couldn’t help herself, lol. Please say howdy to the latest
little ray of sunshine to come trotting into the TAF barns, TAF AMURI!
Once upon a time this little cutie-pie was a draft horse, but looky what
transformation has occurred: now she’s a leopard appaloosa! Literally,
lol. AMURI is a test model for our equally tongue-in-cheek leopard frog
TAF BOGARDUS, who may be seen on our website. Though she’s a test model,
however, she was given the same painstaking care and attention to detail
as her follow-up. Her eyes are an extremely icy green (sorry that the
camera thought “WHITE!” They really are a pale, pale icy green, like
some cats eyes are.) Her golden coat is delicately shaded, as are her
hooves and nostrils. And while you’re checking out the shading in those
nostrils, take a gander at the nose, now notedly feline! She sports a
pretty white blanket, but best of all are the myriad leopard rosettes
that cover practically every inch of her body! A petite 3” x 3” in
size, she is finished in crystal clear, diamond tough gloss glaze so her
brilliant coat will remain true, and is signed “LB test ‘09” under the
glaze on her belly. She comes complete with a laminated COA. Let her
guard your herd! |

TAF INDIGO
Yet another rough n’ ready cayuse leaps into life in the TAF barns:
please welcome TAF INDIGO! Custom glazed to a rip roarin’ black
appaloosa gelding, “Indy” was designed after a horse the artist once
knew. The roaning along his neck and face, nicely shaded tail, big,
beautiful white blanket and face, and realistic, alert eyes nicely
complement his eye-catching white blanket and the areas on his chest and
shoulders that are changing, as appys are wont to do! His privates are
mottled, his muzzle pinked with kissy spots, and his soft spots show
just a touch of pinking, not too much, but JUST enough to show. His
pride and glory, of course, as with his compatriot TAF WINDJAMMER, are
the spots, LOTS AND LOTS OF SPOTS, which adorn his rugged frame. Some
are hardly more than ghostly wisps peeping out from his roaning while
others stand out bright n’ bold! Similar in size to a traditional
Breyer, INDIGO is uniquely one of a kind, is a test model by the artist
and bears the artist’s signature etched into his belly. There is A LOT
of work in this horse, all applied by hand in quality glazes and
underglazes. Finally, INDIGO is finished in the shiniest of gloss glazes
so his magnificent coat will never scratch off, change in color, or
fade.
As a test model he is not for sale at this time.
But look for others glazed in a similar manner, coming soon to Two Acre
Farms!
(Of
course if you like this particular model, we do accept commissions!

TAF RAMJET
Here is the latest little number to trot into
the TAF stables, TAF RAMJET! Rendered on Duncan’s stablemate sized
Arabian, RAMJET has been made into a lovely and intricate black and
white overo. Created using custom mixed underglazes and glazes, RAMJET
sports black rimmed blue eyes, and a pinked nose with softly shaded
nostrils. Her hooves are striped with ermine spotting in the pasterns,
and she has been finished in a super glossy clear glaze for durability.
Standing approximately 3” x 3”, this little mite is sure to be a
standout in your clinkie collection. She is signed and dated by the
artist, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity.

TAF SANDMAN
Please welcome our latest little appaloosa,
the beautiful TAF SANDMAN. A lovely roany appaloosa, SANDMAN again has
been created with custom mixed glazes and underglazes – not to mention
several trips through the fire! And for being so small, she (yes, she’s
a mare, LOL) sure has a lot of nicely rendered details! Her gleaming
white blanket sports rich, deep chocolate spots, and random ones dot her
soft, dusty cocoa-colored coat. This coat bears tiny roaning which the
camera had difficulty in capturing, but if you look closely it is
there. Her points are deep chocolate to match her spots; her muzzle and
privates are mottled and shaded, and her nose and inner ears are
pinked. Her gently shaded hooves bear multi-colored stripes, and her
tri-colored eyes, showing sclera, are a gorgeous, brilliant blue.
Finally, she is finished in several coats of crystal tough clear gloss
glaze, assuring her unique coat will not fade or alter over time. Being
stablemate in size at approximately 3” x 3”, SANDMAN is signed and dated
by the artist. She comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity. |

TAF SHELBY
What a little fuzz-butt of a long-ears!
Please welcome TAF SHELBY, a darling little shaggy donkey custom glazed
by The Kid. With the sole exception of her very realistic eyes, SHELBY
was created entirely with the use of a variety of art glazes, some of
them custom mixed, in order to best show off her shagginess. Her coat
is rich and deep, with a wonderful “flowing feel” to it (similar to
Hagen-Renaker models). She bears pinked and shaded inner ears, a
darkened muzzle, and shaded topside. Her undersides, muzzle and
eye-rings are soft and lighter in color; her mane, tail-tip and forehead
are very dark; and of course she has the typical line down her back with
cross-bars over her shoulders. Please note, she is much richer in
real life than shown by the photos: silly flash tends to “bounce off”
the super glossy art glazes used, and thus her muzzle and undersides
appear white where they are in reality a soft, soft oyster in color.
Standing a perfect 5” x
5” in size, she is signed and dated by the artist, and stands ready to
come join your herd! |

TAF OOPSIE DAISY
Here is a little cutie pie, and unknown mold
received in bisque form so we’re not certain who the maker is! But the
result is the OOAK tumblin’ pony, TAF OOPSIE DAISY. A cute little
dappled gray, she has been created solely using a variety of quality art
glazes. Sized at a petite 3.5 x 4 inches, she is signed and dated by
the artist, marked at “test,” and comes with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. This is a little filly that we GUARANTEE will not be
repeated, and even though she is another test model she is in this case
for sale.
Please note: this little gal
is a deeper gray than she appears in the pictures. Her true color was
extremely difficult to show, due to the camera’s ability to “see into”
the semi-translucent art glaze used for portions of her gray coat. |

TAF CORRUGATED
Boy, the
Kid just loves making those appys, and here is yet another one!
Presented for your consideration is TAF CORRUGATED, Duncan’s petite
Arabian mare glazed to a bay-going-gray extreme snowflake Arabian-appaloosa
cross. This unusual little lady was created using custom mixed
underglazes and multiple types of glazes, giving her coat an artsy
appeal that is truly distinctive. She has realistic eyes, a shaded tail
and frosted mane, mottled privates, is pinked in her soft spots, and has
a very subtle, rosy-pinked nose that the camera found difficult to pick
up. Please bear in mind that the image shown was taken with a flash,
and is representative of what this lady looks like in VERY BRIGHT
lighting; under more natural light she is less harsh in appearance.
However, she does most definitely show the blending of brownish-red into
deep gray and black, etched here and there with light gray to white
mottling, particularly on the face.
This
little gal stands in at stablemate size, approximately 3 x 3 inches. |

TAF CONAN
Here’s
another example of something erroneously believed one cannot do, and
that is to re-glaze a ceramic piece. TAF CONAN began life as a nice
enough black and white pinto, but upon arriving in the hands of The Kid
his black coat was discovered to be thin and patchy in several places
that were meant to be more solidly colored. SO The Kid went to work,
experimenting yet again to see if he could be transformed, and while at
it, into a more artsy and one of a kind horse.
The
result is what you see here, TAF CONAN, reborn into a lovely and quite
unique roany pinto. The combination of additional glazes applied
through several more trips through the kiln reacted to create wonderful
little areas that look just like the hair of a horse’s coat, but were
too tiny for the camera to pick up. Subtle blending of black to rust to
white occurs due to the flowing nature of the glazes themselves; said
nature being the reason why the eyes and hooves – with the sole
exception of one experimental hoof stripe -- were left original.
Since
this particular horse is a re-glaze by The Kid from another model, it is
not for sale. But this horse can be APPROXIMATELY reproduced if you
like something artsy; please contact us if you would like to commission
it. Also, please keep in mind that the black pinto markings underneath
can be made to your specifications!

piece NFS.) |

TAF ARCHIMEDES
Yet
another appaloosa joins the TAF stables: please welcome our newcomer,
TAF ARCHIMEDES! “Archie” is a near leopard Noriker, and has it all.
His ears are shaded, his nose is pinked, his tail and and mane are
multi-colored and shaded, and his leg feathers are shaded as well. On
his body he bears shading from the subtle to the blatant, and of course
there are his spots. There aren’t too many of them, of course, but just
enough to make him not only interesting but absolutely one of a kind.
Finishing his unique look are his lovely brown eyes and all over
tiny-but-there speckles in gold, black and russet red.
“Archie” was created through several firings using both custom mixed
underglazes and at least five different art glazes. He’s a hefty boy,
standing approximately 8x10 inches in size, is signed and dated by the
artist, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity.
Oh yes,
considering his namesake, we don’t mean for Archie to displace the
horses in your collection, just hopefully to join them! |

TAF SUNSPOTTED
Just like
those interesting little motes you see dancing in the sun’s rays is
Duncan’s pretty little arabian, transformed here into a palomino arab-appaloosa
cross! Shaded hooves and inner ears, and very realistic brown eyes
compliment his bright golden coat, which after being created with custom
mixed underglazes and art glazes was finalized with the application of
diamond-bright clear gloss. TAF SUNSPOTTED made several trips through
the fire to before coming into his final beauty, with his golden
be-speckled blanket, white markings on canons, subtle white hairs
throughout his sunny coat, broad white blaze, lightly pinked nose and
two white socks. Stablemate sized at approximately 3 x 3 inches, he is
absolutely one of a kind, is signed beneath the glaze by the artist, and
comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity.

come brighten up your corner of the world! |

TAF SAD SACK
“Nobody likes him, everybody hates him, thinks he’ll go eat worms…”
Here’s
a poor little guy, so woebegone, just looking for someone to take him
home and love him. Yes, he’s probably not LSQ. Who are we kidding,
he’s not even PSQ! But he wasn’t meant to be. What this little fellah
was intended to be is exactly as he ended up, and that is simply the
most woeful little bay shelf donkey for all the long-ear lovers out
there! Gray hooves, a coat subtly blending from grayish red to deeper
tones, and black legs and tip of tail, (not to mention those soulful
eyes -- what a pitiful expression!) were created using varying custom
blended underglazes and art glazes before a final, protective
diamond-bright clear gloss coat was applied. Sitting at approximately
5.5 x 4.75 inches in size, he will display about anywhere (and he
doesn’t eat much, really; just look at those slatty ribs!). SAD SACK is
signed by the artist, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. |

TAF SHANGRI-LA
Ahh… Shangri-La! A Utopian place of immortality and beauty, where one
might find everything one could ever dream of. Just as elusive as her
namesake is the newest decorator horse to enter our barns: TAF
SHANGRI-LA, Duncan’s beautiful Arabian mare transformed into an “artsy”
sabino part-arab. Shaded hooves, pinked nose (the camera wouldn’t pick
up the pink very well) and the most gorgeous, deep brown eyes compliment
her deep liver coat. Her mane and tail are black, and she bears a
subtle black dorsal stripe. But what has turned her into a fantastic,
one of a kind decorator are her flowy “sabino” markings. Finished with
glossy art glazes and topped with Diamond shining tough clear glaze,
this is one glossy little lady! (So much so that even without using a
flash her coat still reflected the ambient light around her, as shown in
the photos!) Solidly planted feet assure stability, she is NOT tipsy.
She is classically sized at approximately 5.5 x 6 inches, is signed by
the artist, and comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity.
Let her bring a touch of the fantastic into your
life! |

TAF HOLLYWOOD NOCTURNE
Please welcome the latest addition to the TAF stables: TAF HOLLYWOOD
NOCTURNE, Duncan’s discontinued and vintage arabian mare now custom
glazed into a dark dapple gray. With her gray-gone–white legs, dark
hooves, dark muzzle, soft brown eyes, black mane and tail and hand
painted dapples (not a single lick of air-brushing on this mare!) she is
sure to stand out in your herd. But if all that wasn’t enough, this
mare has been slightly customized from the norm while in the greenware
stage: her foreleg has been lifted a bit higher, and her mane and tail
carved out a little more. Because there was no complete re-sculpting
work done upon her as in, for example, the case of giving her a new
tail, there are no inherently weak points on her. Thus although
altered a tiny bit from the original Duncan arabian, she has the
structural integrity of the original form. Classically sized at
approximately 5.5 x 6 inches, she is signed and dated by the artist and
comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity.
Please note: this mare is a dapple gray
prototype!! |

TAF PIPPIN
Wow, The Kid thought that “attitude” had come galloping into the TAF
barns with the creation of TAF CURTAIN UP, but here it is with a capital
“A!” Please welcome our latest addition, TAF PIPPIN, Doc Holliday’s
standing foal now transformed into a knock-your-socks-off leopard
appaloosa!
AND WHAT AN EXPRESSION! Talk about attitude, did we mention
attitude? Nothing else really needs to be said; The Kid will let the
pictures speak for themselves. But it should be noted that PIPPIN’S
nostrils and inner ears are shaded, her hooves are shaded and striped,
and her pasterns sport flashmarks. Her tail is fantastically shaded,
her muzzle and eye area are lightly pinked, as are her flank and areas
under her elbows, and her privates are pinked and mottled. Some of her
myriad spots are haloed, some are not, and here and there she bears a
wisp or two of “ghost” spotting. All told, she is strikingly similar
to CAT’S PAJAMAS, Breyer’s sm warmblood custom painted by the Kid which
took Grand Champion Custom in the Novice Division at the Peter Stone
show, Breyerfest, 2001.
(Please visit this winning horse here at
http://www.newkiddesigns.com/private_stables.htm and scroll down
until you find “Cat.” But back to PIPPIN…)
Then there are her eyes… oh THOSE EYES! By her expression we firmly
believe she is ready to take on the world, and shows EXACTLY the same
gumption and spunk as does a true show horse at heart. That and the
fact that she is perfectly unblemished prompts The Kid to state without
reservation the belief that PIPPIN is worthy of being live shown… or
else of capturing the Top Dog position in your ceramic horse
collection! Standing approximately 5.75 x 6 inches in size, PIPPIN is
signed and dated by the artist and comes complete with a laminated
certificate of authenticity, complete with photograph.

TAF PANAJI
The Kid has been at it again! Harkening back to her original stablemate-sized
fantasy horses, the artist has now produced the ultimate clinky:
Duncan’s tiny Arabian is now the second Bengal tiger TAF has glazed! It
doesn’t matter whether the piece is tiny or not; the same care and
attention to detail was given to this awesome little tiger horse as was
to his predecessor (and now sold), NIRAV SHARDUL. PANAJI’S coat is a
brilliant yet subtly shaded orange. His eyes are fiery, apple green.
(Yes, we know tigers have golden orange eyes; but this is a tiger HORSE,
not a tiger, LOL!) His muzzle is lightly pinked, blending into the
rusty orange of the top of his head. Tiny white spots are on the back
of his ears. His tail is shaded from deepest black through touches of
orange into white. Finally, PANAJI’S beautiful coat was given lots and
lots of realistic tiger stripes, from leg to back, from underside to
eensy beensy ones on his face and around his eyes, before he was
finished in shining, tough clear gloss glaze.
(The sole flaw on PANAJI’S otherwise perfect coat happened in the
kiln, where he apparently got into a fight with one of his kiln-mates:
the offside of his neck bears a “wart,” which shows in the one photo.
Thus this particular piece is not for sale BUT a SIMILAR ONE will be
produced. PANAJI IS A SAMPLE ONLY. YOUR tiger horse will be every bit
as wonderful as he is, only without the wart!)
Stablemate sized at approximately 3 x 3 inches, the near-copy (winner
has choice of left or right facing horse) will be signed by the artist
(as is PANAJI) and will come with a laminated certificate of
authenticity, complete with photo. Let the ultimate fantasy clinky join
your stables, and be the fierce protector of the rest of your herd! |

TAF tropicale
Look, up in the sky! Coming through the sun-shot heavens: is it a
bird? A horse? A Pegasus--?? How about all of the
above?
This magnificent Pegasus is transformed into further fantasy: he's
now a blue
and gold macaw! Rendered in gloss glazes so his brilliant coat
will remain absolutely permanent, his hooves are finished in an almost
metallic non-glossy sheen. Soaring through clouds bearing the
softest touch of yellow and gold, this fantastic one-of-a-kind beauty
commands your attention with the same power that he ignites your
imagination. A large piece, this work of art stands approximately
12" x 14" in size.

TAF Manitou The Kid has discovered that Duncan’s
pretty little laying foal was meant to be a shelf-sitter: when the
foreleg is attached according to Duncan’s specs, so it lays out straight
in front of the foal, it definitely drapes over edge of whatever the
piece is sitting upon. SO, here is Duncan’s laying foal done just
as that, in the guise of a blanketed black and white appaloosa we call
TAF MANITOU. With shaded, striped hooves and flashmarks, shaded
ears, tail and nostrils, pinked muzzle and tri-colored eyes, MANI sports
lots and lots of pitch black spots all over her legs and blanket.
She is shown laying prettily upon a realistically shaded, snow-covered
rock base (included), over which her foreleg drapes nicely, but is
entirely removable should you wish to display her otherwise. (In
the photo of her alone there are two dvd cases underneath the background
cloth on which she is laying, so you know how much that leg does drape
down.) Complete with custom mixed underglazes and varying art
techniques including some sponging, MANI and her base are both finished
in crystal tough clear gloss glaze, are both finished on the underside,
signed by the artist, and come with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. |

TAF CANASTA
(Decorator appaloosa #5)
Bursting vibrantly into the TAF stables is our latest in the
decorator appaloosa series: TAF CANASTA. Big n’ bold, he’s a reverse
blanketed appy. Being primarily white with pinked nose, shaded ears,
mane and tail, and tri-colored eyes, he sports his main appaloosa
coloring on the rear, knees and hocks. Various art underglazes and
glazes were applied in layers, and he was run though the kiln several
times to achieve this effect… which is unique to say the least! A
veritable cornucopia of colors pop out in those areas: golds, russets,
deep rich brown and cocoa, black and white, and if one looks closely one
can find here and there the brilliant shimmer of copper, almost exactly
like the schiller found in an Oregon sunstone. A few black spots on his
pristine white echo the shining black of his lower legs, deeper areas of
his mane and tail, and his hooves, the latter which show a “deco”
version of appy striping, in white! Finally, he is gently pinked
beneath the elbow and on his flank, and bears mottled privates. Similar
in size to a traditional Breyer horse, this wild pony is finished in
gleaming, tough clear gloss glaze, is signed by the artist, and comes
complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. An extremely
striking, definitely one of a kind, and never to be repeated horse for
those who enjoy something just a little bit different! |

SPOT O’ TEA After
having way too much fun making decorator appaloosas, here’s a return to
reality: TAF SPOT O’ TEA. This cute and leggy bay near-leopard
Knabstrupper cross has all the bells n’ whistles: shaded mane and tail,
gently striped hooves, shaded inner ears and nostrils, mottled
undersides, flashmarks, subtle shading on face, pinked nose… and yes,
look carefully, even a white fore sock! Big, beautiful dark brown eyes,
rendered in several colors for realism, stare out in typical foalish
curiosity, and topping everything are lots and lots of mahogany bay and
black spots! After first being underglazed in custom mixed colors, SPOT
O’ TEA was then finished in crystalline tough clear glaze so her coat
will never fade or alter over time. Standing approximately 6 inches
tall and 5.5 inches long, she is signed by the artist and comes complete
with laminated certificate of authenticity. |

TAF AL ADAAR Here is Duncan’s discontinued
tiny Arabian gelding transformed into a pretty bay-going-gray! Created
with custom mixed underglazes and finished with several quality art
glazes, AL blends prettily from deep charcoal through rosy gray to
white, and sports a dapple or two here and there just for fun. With
his four near-black legs, near-black mane and shaded tail, and wide,
white blaze to accent his realistic tri-colored eyes, the rich colors of
AL ADAAR’S coat brings to mind those found in Hagen-Renaker horses.
Standing comparable in size to a Breyer stablemate at approximately 3 x
3 inches, AL is finished in tough clear glaze. Another original
from Two Acre Farms! |

CHANTICLEER
Here’s a little cutie-pie: a pretty little
bright, blood-bay blanketed arab-appy cross mare. Even though she’s teensy,
being stablemate sized at approximately 3.25 x 3.5 inches, she’s still
got all the bells n’ whistles: lifelike eyes showing sclera, striped and
shaded hooves, mottled privates, pinking where appropriate, shaded inner
ears, white socks and blaze and of course her lovely spots. little
lady was hand-cast by the artist, and has her ears and nostrils carved
out, as well as having her face more detailed. Finished in
shining, tough glossy glaze to protect her color, this little one is
UNSIGNED by the artist, but comes with a certificate of authenticity.
(There are a few itty bitty places on her where the underglaze is a
teeny bit thin, not too much to detract from her but it needed to be
noted here nevertheless. Discontinued, vintage mold.) |

TAF WINDJAMMER
As if breaking across the rugged sea, following the
course set by the powerful gales, he throws his own wake across the
meadow as he comes in response to your call…
Rough n ready to tackle the wildest, wildest west, here is the newest
and boldest addition to our barns: TAF WINDJAMMER! An absolutely
GORGEOUS bay roan appaloosa gelding, this fellow sports tons of work the
photo scarcely shows: roaning in the bay areas, nicely shaded points, a
big, beautiful white blanket, face, and stockings, and somewhat
contemplative eyes are only the beginning. Add to all that striped
hooves, with the raised one bearing realistic shading on its bottom
side– and a frog, too! – and nicely shaded muzzle, ears, mane and
tail. His privates are mottled, and his soft spots show pinking, not
too much, but JUST enough to show. The icing on his particular cake,
however, like spume atop the ocean’s swells, are his myriad spots… LOTS
AND LOTS OF SPOTS, some haloed, some ghostly wisps; ermine spots and
flash-marks also adorn his rugged frame. Similar in size to a
traditional Breyer, he is uniquely one of a kind, is a test model by the
artist and signed as such, and likewise bears the artist’s signature.
Again, there is A LOT of work in this horse, all brushed on by hand in
quality glazes and underglazes; finally, WINDJAMMER is finished in the
shiniest of gloss glazes so his magnificent coat will never scratch off,
change in color, or fade.
WINDJAMMER comes with a signed and dated certificate of
authenticity. Let him come grace your home and bring the power of the
open seas therein. He’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser! |

TAF Layback Sallie
The latest horse to join the TAF barns
is the pretty little flea-bitten gray mare, TAF LAYBACK SALLIE.
Produced on Doc Holliday’s standing quarter horse mold, SALLIE was
brought to life with the use of quality art glazes and underglazes. Her
head, muzzle, inner ears, mane and tail, and hooves are nicely shaded,
and her coat liberally speckled with russet “flea-bites.” Her eyes are
a very pretty, realistic brown; her privates, knees and hocks are
lightly shaded, as are her privates. After being finished with layers
of shiny, tough, crystal clear glaze, she was kiln fired to assure her
color will never fade or alter over time. Traditionally sized at
approximately 8” by 10”, SALLIE is signed and dated by the artist and
comes complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. |

TAF ITASCA
Here is the latest little gal to trot into life, the pretty appaloosa
foal TAF ITASCA. For those of you who like something a little bit
different, this cute and leggy model has been customized into an artsy
blanket appaloosa. Four different art glazes have come together to
create her flowing, roany bay coat; her mane and tail are shaded and her
hooves shaded and striped. “Itasca’s” inner ears and nostrils are
shaded, her undersides and muzzle are mottled, her nose is pinked, and
she sports two bright hind stockings. Her big, beautiful amber brown
eyes are rendered in several colors for realism, and topping everything
are lots and lots of rich black spots! After first being underglazed in
custom mixed colors, ITASCA was then finished in crystalline tough clear
gloss glaze so her coat will never fade or alter over time. She stands
approximately 6 inches tall and 5.5 inches long, is signed by the
artist, and comes complete with laminated certificate of authenticity.
Please
note that due to the nature of the art glazes used, the colors in
ITASCA’S coat might appear to be thin. They are not; it is merely how
the differing glazes react with each other. They blend and move
together to produce a hair-like coat. She is also much richer in color
than how she appears in the photos; the camera tends to “see into” the
art glazes. Finally, there is a tiny bisque flaw on her off foreleg.
This hairline appeared to be superficial, not compromising the strength
of the bisque, and has been safely glazed over. |

the exception of his eyes, this horse was brought to life using various
quality art glazes only, then finished with diamond tough crystal clear
gloss glaze to assure permanence to his loud and unique coat.

TAF WHO DUNIT
Here’s a bright little ray of sunshine: Duncan’s tiny arabian
transformed into a pretty little red dun blanketed appaloosa! This one
might be tiny, but that didn’t mean the artist was skimpy with his
details! Beginning with the use of various underglazes, some of them
being custom mixed, the artist created everything you see here: subtly
hand-shaded golden coat, shaded mane and tail, tiny primitive markings,
tipped ears, realistic eyes, splotched and speckled privates, and of
course myriad haloed spots! DUNIT was then finished using several
different shining tough gloss glazes, assuring that his coat will never
fade or alter over time. (Please note: this little horse is more
brilliant in real life than the photos would suggest. Once again
lighting was not working with the artist when photos were being taken;
WHO DUNIT has a depth of color the camera just refused to pick up on,
and his legs are more uniform in appearance than shown. He is also
GLOSSY, GLOSSY, GLOSSY!)
Sized around the same as a Breyer stablemate, approximately three
inches tall/long, TAF WHO DUNIT is signed and dated by the artist, and
comes complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. |

TAF CHEVEYO
When the test model for this guy came trotting out of the kiln, The Kid swore to make another one… only better. So here he is: TAF CHEVEYO. Using Provincial’s trotting western horse, The Kid has custom glazed him into a rootin’ tootin’ black blanketed appaloosa, with details galore. His muzzle and privates are mottled, and he sports pinking where appropriate. His muzzle, inner ears, mane and tail are nicely shaded, his hooves striped, and the upraised ones show realistic frogs. His eyes are a very nice and realistic amberish brown. Finally, there are his spots! His blanket bears big, beautiful spots, all haloed, with ghost spotting showing as well, while ermine spots adorn his white socks. A couple kissy spots dot his full blaze. Other black spots peep out here and there throughout his coat; and his undersides and area under his tail have spots that are a touch lighter, as would be in the case of a live horse. TAF CHEVEYO was created using quality art glazes and custom mixed underglazes, and was finished in diamond tough crystal clear glaze to assure his coat will not fade or alter over time. He is signed and dated by the artist, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. Classic in size, he stands approximately 5 x 7 inches.

“WACIYE PICA” (Please
click on the image to go to other photos, as well as a description of
the meaning of his war paint, thank you.)
Two
Acre Farms is proud to present this tribute to the Lakota Sioux War
Horse, TAF WACIYE PICA. The name is authentic Lakota, meaning
“faithful,” and is the very epitome of what a good war-horse should be.
Besides being strong, a good horse trusts and is faithful unto his
master, and a war-horse even more so, that he might safely carry him
through perilous situations time and time again. “WACIYE PICA’s”
trustworthiness and bravery is evidenced by the authentic war-horse
symbols with which his master has adorned his rugged frame.
Much
research was done before brush was even put to this striking horse. The
red rock upon which he stands is typical of the banded sandstones found
in the range of the Lakota Sioux. A “true” red was not used in his war
paint, but rather brownish ochre, as “red” pigments were derived from
crushed rock native to the area. The color ochre, most utilized by the
Lakota warrior, was likewise used most on WACIYE PICA, especially in all
hand prints. With the exception of the “Pat Hand” print (which is
special), all symbols were repeated on both sides of the horse, so his
story can be seen on both sides. Finally, the artist chose to make
WACIYE PICA a rare medicine hat pinto, since according to the beliefs of
the Lakota this type of pinto inherently bore the strongest magic of all
and was the best one to ride into war. (The pinto horse was most
favored by the Sioux Nation, while the appaloosa horse was used by the
Nez Pierce farther to the northwest.)
Specifically, WACIYE PICA is a dark bay medicine hat sabino tovero, with
one blue eye. He has light hooves, chestnuts, and is pinked where
appropriate. Nostrils, hooves underside of raised hoof, and mouth are
shaded, as is the sandstone rock (which is also banded). WACIYE PICA is
traditionally scaled at 10” x 11” and comes with a certificate of
authenticity as well as a laminated description of his markings,
complete with photos. As with all of The Kid’s ceramic creations,
WACIYE PICA has been brought to life with a variety of quality glazes
and underglazes, some being custom mixed. Every symbol was first
carefully hand-painted in layers of underglaze before final glazes were
applied; there is a lot of work in this guy requiring several trips to
the kiln! He is finished in shining tough gloss glaze to permanently
protect his wonderful coat, along with the story that is told upon it.

(Decorator appaloosa #4)
Duncan’s wonderful discontinued “leaping

SLIPSTREAM! After first being underglazed with custom mixed colors,
SLIPSTREAM was then finished in no less than six glossy art glazes to
assure that his wild n’ woolly coat will always remain as brilliant as
it now is. Pictures do not do this horse complete justice: in real life
his rich, deep, gray coat bears a wonderful, translucent white
“dappling” effect, which is then topped by lots and lots of wild,
patchy, splootchy spots! Four black legs, a shaded black
mane and tail, and dark muzzle complete the look of this absolutely
unique creation, who is practically flying over a bed of rusty brown
rushes. Approximately 7 x 9 inches in size, SLIPSTREAM is signed and
dated by the artist, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. Let him leap into your stables! A vintage mold. |

CURTAIN UP Look who’s
standing here just all so full of herself! (Don’t we know how foals can
get!) Here is Doc Holliday’s standing foal glazed to a lovely bright
red roan blanketed appaloosa filly! With her striped hooves, mottled
privates, lifelike eyes, shaded muzzle, nostrils, and inner ears, white
socks and key-holed blaze, and of course her pretty white, spotted
blanket, she’s sure to be a winner in your collection. Being created
with a combination of custom mixed underglazes followed by six different
flowing art glazes (entailing several trips through the fire!) and
finished with crystal clear glaze to protect her wonderful color,
"Curtains" is the Test Model in the artist's Decorator Appaloosa series,
and was thus meant to be more "artsy" than a "realistic." Either way,
she is DEFINITELY one-of-a-kind, full of attitude (what an expression!)
and will make a unique and lovely shelf horse at the very least.
Classic sized at approximately 6 x 6” she will display anywhere, is
signed by the artist, and comes with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. Guaranteed never to be repeated. (There are a couple
tiny places on her where the underglaze is a little thin. Since she’s
an appaloosa the artist feels those places can easily be considered a
part of the typical appy pattern, but wanted to mention them anyway.)

TAF SMOKE ON THE WATER
Here is the latest, lovely little lady to
grace the TAF stables: Duncan’s laying foal brought to life as a pretty
little gray (or roany gray, lol) appaloosa! No detail was overlooked in
her creation, from her shaded mane, inner ears and muzzle, to her
delicately shaded and striped hooves, to the myriad spots (some
delicately haloed) that adorn her dove-gray body. (Please note: she is
a bit deeper and richer a gray than shown in some of the photos, as the
camera simply insists on “seeing into” the art glazes used in finishing
this little baby.) Subtle roaning applied to her shoulders, chest and
up her neck, as well as in the darkening of her knees, further richen
the depth of her unique coat.
Finally, a wide, pristine
blaze brightens her face, offsetting her realistic brown eyes.
Nothing skimpy or “thin”
about this lovely foal’s coat: she was created with the use of
underglazes and art glazes, both custom mixed and applied by sable
brush. (The Kid refuses to let a single brush-stroke show, too!) She
is finished with a final layer of tough and shining, crystal clear gloss
glaze, which gives permanence to the artistry, guaranteeing that her
unique coat will not fade or change in color over time.
Wonderfully sized at 3 x
6 inches, SMOKEY is signed and dated by the artist, finished on her
underside, and comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity.
This little baby is just…SMOKIN!

HATCHETT
(Decorator appaloosa #1)
Galloping your way is Kimple’s cantering foal model, custom glazed to an
artsy deco appaloosa, “TAF HATCHETT.” While the artist isn’t QUITE
certain just WHAT kind of appaloosa coloring she’s got, SHE on the other
hand is quite certain as to what eye-catcher charms she possesses!
Liberally spotted, with eyes, inner ears, hooves and muzzle first
underglazed for realism (hey, even decorators have to look nice!) she
was then finished in a variety of luscious flowing art glazes. The
combination of these gave her subtle mottling very reminiscent of
dapples, yet flowed and ran together in such a manner as to allow her to
be considered a decorator model. Whether a “realie” or a durned “real”
decorator, she is a definite one of a kind shelf horse for certain!
Topped with shining, tough crystal clear glaze to permanently protect
her artsy coat, she is signed by the artist, comes complete with a
laminated certificate of authenticity, and stands approximately 6 inches
tall by 8 “stretched out and running” inches long.
(While
being deceptively tippy-looking in appearance, “Hatchett” actually
stands very well on three legs, as they are positioned quite sturdily in
a tripod arrangement.) |

application of which combined to give her a truly varnished appaloosa
look. And let’s not forget those spots… LOTS AND LOTS of wild, patchy
spots and splotches! Finally, she was finished in crystal tough gloss
glaze, so her absolutely magnificent coat will never fade or alter over
time. Classic in size at 6 x 7.5 inches, ROCKY ROAD is signed by the

(Decorator appaloosa #3)
Shades
of “capricious,” Batman, here’s another one! Yup, The Kid’s been at it
again! Coming down the pike this time is yet another decorator
appaloosa, TAF OZYMANDIAS. As with others in the decorator appy series,
“Ozzy” first had his eyes, ears, hooves and muzzle underglazed with
custom mixed colors before the Kid allowed herself to “get creative…”
and what a creation did this one turn out to be! (This horse is
extremely representative of a blue roan pintaloosa, but due to the
exotic, flowing nature of the glazes used to make him, the artist still
considers him to be a decorator.) Roaned, spotted and splotched, and
bearing one blue eye, TAF OZYMANDIAS was finished in crystal gloss
glaze, so his wonderfully unique coat will never alter or change over
time. Traditional in size at approximately 8 x 10 inches, he is signed
by the artist and comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity.

ONLY YOU "When you hold my hand, I understand
the magic that you do..."
And oh, what magic has been worked here!
Here is Duncan’s beautiful free-standing
Arabian mare transformed into a black and white tovero part-bred. Every
care was taken so this little lovely would have the coveted 50-50 black
to white ratio, along with eye-pleasing markings in general. She has
patches where chestnuts would be, pretty soft brown eyes, very detailed
hooves and underhooves, ermine spotting, and a nice star and
disconnected strip. For some reason, the inscrutable but omnipotent
Kiln Gods determined to “eat” the pinking on her nose but what the hey:
she’s getting her winter coat! (Barely there pinking does peep through,
but wasn’t able to be caught digitally, sorry!) Kiln fired with custom
mixed underglazes (she passed through 1800+ temperatures several times
to assure that her markings would remain crisp and clean!) and topped
with shining, tough clear glaze, this lovely lady’s coat will never
scratch or fade over time. The best thing about “ONLY YOU,” however, is
her widened stance in the rear. This baby is VERY SOLIDLY planted on
all fours… well ok, all threes! She is not in the slightest bit tipsy!
(Unless you feed her over-ripe apples…) Classically sized at
approximately 5.5 x 6 inches, she is signed and dated by the artist and
comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity. |

TAF SEURAT Ok, we said we’d be offering
varnish horses, and here is the first! Two Acre Farms is proud to
present Duncan’s discontinued tiny Arabian mare, now transformed into a
simply wonderful bright chestnut varnish Appaloosa part Arab cross!
Created using a combination of custom mixed underglazes, SEURAT sports
myriad details for one so delicate. Her little ears are carved out; her
teensy yet extremely realistic brown eyes show sclera, and her tiny
hooves are striped (dark ones only) and shaded. Ghostly brown spots
show through the non-varnished places on her body, which in turn is
nicely varnished. Finished with several different art glazes and topped
with tough, crystal clear gloss glaze, she is comparable in size to a
Breyer stablemate, standing at approximately 3 x 3 inches, is signed by
the artist, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. |

GREY FLANNEL JAMMIES
Oh looky who’s been laying out in the sun too
long, getting his poor little nose all sunburned! Here is Dock
Holliday’s “laying foal” transformed into a very pretty little
blue roan or grey appaloosa foal. With his dark face and legs, brown eyes,
lovely gray coat, big white blanket (both adorned with the lightest of
freckles and boldest of eye-catching spots), he’s the flashiest little
guy around. “Jammies” was made using a variety of quality underglazes,
glazes and techniques; his dark hooves are even more darkly striped, his
white tail is lightly shaded, ending in black at the tip, and his mane,
ears and nostrils are shaded as well. Scaled to traditional size at
approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, he is signed by the artist, finished in
shining glossy glaze for permanence and comes complete with a
certificate of authenticity.
(Note: this little guy has two teeny glaze
pops on his near side in the white; nothing that is noticeable enough to
detract from him, but they are there nevertheless. He will still make a
wonderful shelf horse!)
Poor little sunburned baby… laying out all
by his lonesome… looking for a momma to watch over him…! |

TAF Prima Donna
Prima Donna, first lady of the stage...
er, stable? But no matter how you put it, here is a foal destined
to become first lady of your heart: Doc Holliday's wonderful standing
foal has been transformed into an absolutely stunning black and white
overo filly! True to her name, she comes with all the bells and
whistles: pinked muzzle and shaded nostrils; soft mustaching on the
lips; an occasional flash mark here and there, ermine spots on fetlocks,
minimally striped hooves; and very realistic tri-colored eyes, in turn
rendered yet more realistic with gentle pinking where appropriate.
Gloss glazes assure her beautiful color will never scratch off.
Painted entirely by hand, this luscious baby is UNSIGNED by the artist.

PADRAICH
Aka: “Paddy”
Sure an’
begorrah, but ‘tis a lovely one come trotting down the garden path!
Please welcome TAF PADRAICH, the newest horse to enter into the TAF
barns: a cute, fat hairy drafter custom glazed to a liver chestnut Irish
draught!
“Paddy,” as
we like to call this one, is definitely one of a kind, and rich, rich,
rich in color! His hooves are shaded, as are his multi-colored mane,
fetlocks, and tail, which have added hair detailing. Sabino
characteristics show in his funky hind stockings, white patch on chin,
and patches on the side of his neck and under his offside foreleg and
near hind. His nose is pinked (the closeup portrait photo was taken
without a flash, to show his pinking; all others were taken with a flash
indoors), his privates darkened, but most unique are the tiny hairs
scattered throughout his richly colored coat. Gold peeps out from
chestnut, and white peeps out from gold; he’s in winter coat, don’tcha
know, lol. TAF PADRAICH made several trips through the fire before he
was finished, first being underglazed, and then finished with the
application of three glossy art glazes. All this was topped by a layer
of shining, crystal-tough diamond gloss glaze, to assure his marvelous
colors will never fade or alter over time. He is GLOSSY – and because
he is so glossy, his eyes were difficult to photograph. They are very
gentle in nature, and are a deep, dark brown.
Classically
sized at approximately 4 x 6” Paddy is initialed by the artist, and
comes complete with a certificate of authenticity. He is sure to please
the draft horse collector, and promises to be at the very least a
lovely, OOAK shelf piece. |

MACADAMIA AND PISTACHIO What
is a wonderful, loving combination: a pretty little dappled gray mare
with her “going to gray out” foal! This piece was produced using
various techniques, in turn involving several trips to the kiln,
resulting in a final piece that is deep and rich. The mare is a soft,
soft shaded gray, has dark points and little white coronets, and lots
and lots of soft dapples which become more pronounced where
appropriate. Her little baby, who as he matures will most certainly
follow in his mama’s footsteps, is a deep translucent black/brown of a
depth and coverage the camera had problems showing, a color that was
produced by the application of different glazes. Both are finished in
diamond-bright gloss glaze, making their coats even deeper and richer.
This piece, nicely sized at approximately 6.5 x 3 inches, will display
anywhere, is signed by the artist and comes complete with certificate of
authenticity. |

TAF CIRRUS It all begins with one little
cloud...
Here is Duncan’s discontinued tiny Arabian mare transformed into a
pretty little blanketed black and white Arabian-Appaloosa cross! No
detail has been overlooked in the creation of this tiny horse: his
teensy brown eyes show sclera, his itty-bitty hooves are shaded and
striped (dark ones only), and his inner ears are carved out and pinked.
Liberal to-scale spotting festoons his legs and blanket (with some of
them being haloed) and his privates are mottled. Created with custom
mixed underglaze, finished with several different art glazes and topped
with crystal tough clear gloss glaze, CIRRUS is comparable in size to a
Breyer stablemate, standing at approximately 3 x 3 inches, and comes
complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. Another one of a
kind from Two Acre Farms! |

TAF Don't Laugh At Me!
Doc
Holliday standing foal custom glazed to buckskin snowflake appaloosa.
Stripey hooves, pinking where needed, baby darkening around eyes and
muzzle, light hints of dappling yet to come and lacey edge to his little
white blanket. In addition, this little guy is all chromed up with three
little white socks, a white coronet, and a big, beautiful star on his
forehead. Standing here with such an attitude, "DL" has this
to say about himself:
"Ok. I'm not perfect. My muzzle is dirtier on one side because I've been
rooting for carrots; they're MY carrots, see??? But I'm tough, and full
of spit... and cuter n' a bug's ear, don'tcha think?"
While maybe not worthy of being called LSQ, we believe this little guy
will certainly pull his own in photo shows... not to mention being a
somewhat unique foal to add to your collection.
Finished with gloss glazes, this piece is UNSIGNED.

TAF RECENTLY SPOTTED
Hey, who is that walking onto the red carpet? Why, it's
the glamorous new pretty lady from Two Acre Farms!Doc Holliday's laying foal is
magically transformed into a stunning leopard appaloosa! This little
beauty has all the bells n' whistles: softly pinked nose and eyes; the
eyes themselves are tri-colored with soft spotting around them; striped
hooves; shaded inner ears, tail, nostrils and underside of hooves.
Topping it all are too many spots to count, every one of them -- with
the exception of carefully applied "ghost spotting" -- being even more
carefully haloed! Finally this pretty little baby is covered in a nice,
even and glossy glaze coating, to assure the artwork will never scratch
off or fade. A nice 4" x 5" inches, she is just the right size to
display anywhere, and is signed by the artist. Comes with certificate of
authenticity.

TAF Nimbus
Carrying an aura of power on his back, this beautiful horse lights the
sky with a glossy shine.
Here is Atlantic Mold's running horse, boldly altered to a black near
leopard appaloosa! No detail has been spared: this horse bears a pinked
muzzle, haloed spots galore, delicately shaded and striped hooves,
flash marks, rolled back tri-colored eyes and a beautifully shaded tail.
Shading is repeated in the rocks over which he gallops as well as in the
bottoms of his hooves, which also bear realistic frogs. Nicely
sized at 6-1/2" x 7", Nimbus is finished in glossy glazes, assuring
permanence to his beautiful coat. Signed by the artist, he comes
with a certificate of authenticity.

TWO TO TANGO Oh,
what a lovely little lady: here is Duncan’s pretty laying foal, now an
eye-catching chestnut appaloosa! Created with a combination of
underglazes (some custom mixed) and art glazes, she sports absolutely
gorgeous eyes, shaded tail and ears, and striped hooves. Her crisp
white blanket sports nicely dispersed spots (the larger ones being
haloed), and roaning on both shoulders marks the line of demarcation
between solid chestnut and blanket. “TANGO” bears two stockings with
ermine spots, a large star with a strip, and is finished in tough,
shining gloss glaze so her color will never fade or alter over time.
Approximately 3 x 6 inches in size, she is signed and dated by the
artist, is finished on the underside, and comes complete with a
laminated certificate of authenticity.
Please note that poor Tango bears the
following flaw: in firing her to bisque, her clay “remembered” itself.
As a result, the extended foreleg “pushes up” the body just a couple
millimeters to where it doesn’t lay completely flat. It is difficult to
see, and scarcely noticeable at all from the rear, but needed to be
noted here. On the other hand, she can now drape the hoof in a nice,
lazy manner just a teeny bit over the edge of a shelf or a base! |

TAF FLAMENCO
As stated on the website, The Kid will custom glaze commissioned pieces,
even if they are very similar to earlier creations. But true to her
policy, no horse is ever to be copied exactly, and TAF FLAMENCO is no
exception! Created with a combination of underglazes (some custom
mixed) and art glazes as was TWO TO TANGO, her inspiration, FLAMENCO
sports pretty brown eyes, shaded tail and ears, and striped hooves. Her
crisp white blanket has nicely dispersed spots, and roaning on both
shoulders marks the line of demarcation between solid chestnut and
blanket. “FLAMENCO” bears two socks with ermine spots, a white blaze,
and is finished in tough, shining gloss glaze so her color will never
fade or alter over time. Approximately 3 x 6 inches in size, she is
signed and dated by the artist, is finished on the underside, and comes
complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. She is created
using Duncan’s pretty laying foal mold. |

TAF DREAMWEAVER Created with a combination of
underglazes (some custom mixed) and art glazes as was TWO TO TANGO, her
inspiration, and her “sister,” FLAMENCO, TAF DREAMWEAVER sports
extremely lifelike brown eyes, shaded tail and ears, and striped hooves.
Again, although similar in appearance to her predecessors, closer
inspection will reveal her individuality. Her crisp white blanket has
nicely dispersed spots, and roaning on both shoulders marks the line of
demarcation between solid chestnut and blanket. “DREAMWEAVER” bears one
hind sock and a fore stocking with ermine spots, and a pretty white
blaze. Created with custom mixed underglazes and quality art glazes,
she is finished in tough, shining gloss glaze so her color will never
fade or alter over time. Approximately 3 x 6 inches in size, she is
signed and dated by the artist, is finished on the underside, and comes
complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. She is created
using Duncan’s pretty laying foal mold.

TAF BABYDOLL Sweetly eye-catching with just a
touch of sassiness, here is yet another piece The Kid was commissioned
to make: TAF BABYDOLL. Inspired by the earlier creation, TAF RECENTLY
SPOTTED, BABY was brought to life on Duncan’s laying foal model model,
and sports all the bells n’ whistles that a leopard appaloosa should
have. She has absolutely GORGEOUS brown eyes, shaded and striped
hooves, and shaded ears and tail. Her muzzle is pinked, as is the area
around her eyes, and her pasterns sport flashmarks. Finally, her
gleaming white coat is covered in tons and tons of spots, some of them
being ghost spots, and most being haloed with just a wisp of color.
Created to be a showpiece, she is finished in tough, shining clear
glaze, and is felt by The Kid to be definitely LSQ. Approximately 3 x 6
inches in size, she is signed and dated by the artist, is finished on
the underside, and comes complete with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. |

TAF MISS DEMEANOR
Here is Duncan’s beautiful free-standing Arabian mare transformed into
another black and white tovero part-bred, whose inspiration came from
The Kid’s earlier creation, TAF ONLY YOU. Every care was taken so this
little lovely would have the coveted 50-50 black to white ratio, along
with unique and eye-pleasing markings in general. Primarily snowy
white, she sports pretty soft brown eyes, very detailed hooves and
underhooves, pinking on her muzzle, and a nice big blaze. Kiln fired
with custom mixed underglazes (she passed through 1800+ temperatures
several times to assure that her markings would remain crisp and clean!)
and topped with shining, tough clear glaze, this lovely lady’s coat will
never scratch or fade over time. As with her predecessor, MISS DEMEANOR
is VERY SOLIDLY planted on all fours… well ok, all threes! She is not
in the slightest bit tipsy! (Unless you feed her over-ripe apples…)

muzzle, shaded ears, haloed spots galore, delicately shaded and striped
hooves, flash marks, tri-colored eyes and a beautifully shaded mane and
tail. Shading is repeated in the rocks over which he gallops as well as
in the bottoms of his hooves, which also bear realistic frogs. Nicely

TAF CRUMPETTE
Here is another commissioned piece, inspired by TAF PIECE OF CAKE. With
enough variation to make her just as uniquely one-of-a-kind as her
predecessor, here is Duncan’s laying foal transformed into a brilliant
black and white tovero foal with one blue eye! Her eyes, hooves, inner
ears and muzzle were underglazed, some of the colors being custom mixed;
then she was finished (including her underside) in shining, tough glaze
to protect her finish. At approximately 3 x 6 inches in size, she is
signed by the artist and comes complete with a laminated certificate of
authenticity. |

TAF ARIADNE
Inspired again by TAF PIECE OF CAKE, here is yet another commissioned
piece, TAF ARIADNE, where Duncan’s laying foal comes to life as a pretty

pattern to make her just as uniquely one-of-a-kind as her predecessor,
she still bears the coveted 50-50 color-to-white ratio. Her eyes,
hooves, inner ears and muzzle were underglazed, some of the colors being
custom mixed; then she was finished (including her underside) in
shining, tough glaze to protect her finish. At approximately 3 x 6
inches in size, she is signed by the artist and comes complete with a

JACK FLASH Seeing spots
before your eyes? Well, no wonder! The Kid has been busy creating yet
more loud appaloosas for her stable, and here is the newest addition to
come prancing into vibrant life! Please welcome TAF JACK FLASH, an
absolutely wonderful original sculpture by Meg Walker and custom glazed
by The Kid to her specialty: a loud leopard appaloosa. (See TAF PIPPIN,
TAF RECENTLY SPOTTED, TAF BABYDOLL, and TAF SNIPPETT.)
Did I say spots?
Jack has spots galore, and for the most part every one of ‘em are
carefully haloed. No detail was overlooked. He has places where his
dark skin shows through his white coat, nicely glazed and realistic
ears, and of course The Kid’s trademark super realistic eyes. His soft
spots are pinked, as is his muzzle, and his legs darken down to four
black points. This guy required several trips through the fire, and the
use of several custom mixed underglazes and glazes, but those trips were
well worth the effort. All in all JACK is one knock-out of a mule,
destined to remain home in The Kid’s private stables. He is signed by
both artists.

TAF SAM ADAMS
Here is Marge Olsen’s adorable stablemate sized walking gelding original
sculpture, now glazed to a bright, roany, buckskin snowcap appaloosa.
After carefully applying custom mixed underglazes, this little mite was
finished with a variety of glazes using different art techniques, all to
produce a strikingly original horse.
With dark points and eartips, nicely shaded mane
and tail, pinked muzzle, striped hooves, mottled privates, and realistic
eyes, all topped by the flowing roaning in his golden coat, SAM is one
surely destined to stand out in a crowd. We think his name is quite
appropriate: mmmm, golden goodness topped with frothy white, with deep
rich undertones giving foundation to the ale he was named after.
Cheers!

TAF SNIPPETT
Please say howdy to the next leopard appaloosa to join the TAF stables,
SNIPPETT. No details need to be mentioned here; her photos say it all.
This little gal is NFS, unfortunately, as the artist does not have this
mold to create more. Instead, she is here simply to represent The Kid’s
specialty, that being custom glazed leopard appaloosas. (Please see TAF

appropriate, MONTY is wonderfully marked, and bears the nicest little
shaded hooves and the sweetest little face. Sorry, since this bisque
was given as a gift, MONTY is not for sale, only shown here in

RIGEL
Still working on perfecting a dapple gray, here is yet another one of
Duncan’s discontinued tiny Arabian geldings, now TAF RIGEL! Started with
custom mixed underglazes, RIGE was essentially brought to life with the
use of a variety of quality art glazes, many in turn being custom
mixed. His coat blends prettily from deep charcoal through lighter
tones of gray and into near white, and is somewhat heavily dappled. With
his almost white head, white socks, mane and tail, shaded hooves, muzzle
and inner ears, and realistic tri-colored eyes, RIGE’S rich color brings
to mind that of Hagen-Renaker horses – he is much deeper in tone than
the camera shows (silly thing insists on “seeing into” the translucent
glazes used!). Standing comparable in size to a Breyer stablemate at
approximately 3 x 3 inches, RIGE is finished in tough and super glossy
clear glaze. As he is a test model and designed after the artist’s
first and most beloved Arabian horse, he is unfortunately not for sale.
But look for other dapple gray horses in the very near future!

ZATARAIN
Prancing into a new, vibrant existence is
this lovely and REGLAZED horse: ZATARAIN! (Click on image to the
before and after pictures! What a chameleon!) Provincial’s
trotting western pony started out as PHC’s already glazed, matte light
chestnut pinto, but through TAF’S use of different techniques and
quality art glazes her color patches were transformed into a brilliant
“artsy” roaned liver chestnut, some slightly altered in shape, and the
tail was darkened on top. Then the spots on the muzzle were made more
outstanding and haloed, before the horse itself was finished in shining
tough, crystal clear gloss glaze. Standing approximately 4.5 x 6 inches
in size, this little lady is not for sale, but if you like the horse, or
have something you wish reglazed, please contact us about something just
as unique being made just for you! “Zatarain” is signed by both

TAF MUCH ADO
Another buckskin appaloosa canters into the TAF stables, this one a
brilliantly colored golden blanketed one! Talk about sporting all the
bells n’ whistles: TAF MUCH ADO certainly lives up to her name with her
shaded points, mane and tail, chestnuts, lifelike eyes, tipped ears,
white frosting, and myriad haloed spots! Her hooves are striped, and
she bears a nice blaze and three whites. Everything about this fancy
little lady was done entirely by hand, not a lick of air-brushing
employed, hence there are no tiny speckles or fade-outs to mar her
wonderfully eye-catching coat! After hours of pre-glaze work, which in
turn utilized a variety of art techniques, MUCH ADO was then finished
with several shining tough gloss glazes, including crystal clear.
Signed and dated by the artist, she stands approximately 6 x 6.5 inches,
and comes complete with a laminated certificate of authenticity. |

BINT HAMDANIAH
Two Acre Farms wishes to present our
tribute to the “bloody shoulder” Arabian, BINT HAMDANIAH. While the
details of the legend surrounding the blood-mark vary, in essence it is
said that long ago a fierce Bedouin warrior had the most beautiful,
swift, and brave mare of all. Everyone who saw her wanted her, but he
would not let her go. At length he was able to breed her to the King’s
best stallion; while she was in foal, he rode her off to wage war.
During the battle he was mortally wounded, falling forward over her neck
and shoulder. The brave mare sensed this, and carried him safely back
to his tents, even though she was by then heavy with foal. To the
amazement of all, when the foal was born it was a rare flea-bitten
chestnut, with a blood-mark on its shoulder in the exact place the
warrior had lain atop the mare. To this day the bloody-shoulder Arabian
is one of the most uncommon of colors found within the breed.
This one, small but just as mighty, is
reproduced on Duncan’s tiny Arabian mold. At approximately 3’ long, it
is stablemate in size. “Bint” was created in a variety of underglazes,
some custom mixed, utilizing several art techniques for realism.
Finished in THREE shining, tough gloss glazes, her beautiful coat with
its unique markings will not alter or fade over time. Signed by the
artist, she comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity. |
